Castelluccio di Norcia is located at 1452 meters above sea level. The Piana di Castelluccio has been defined by the ethnologist Fosco Maraini ‘The most similar place to Tibet that exists in Europe’. In the months of June and July, thanks to the flowering of the lentils, the Piana offers a unique event in the world, with splendid colors. Unfortunately, the earthquake of 30 October 2016 almost completely destroyed the village, making it unusable. The farmers of Castelluccio, whose spokesperson is Gianni Coccia, have continued to work with great difficulty, to safeguard the ancient tradition of lentils. Castelluccio di Norcia is defined as the ‘pearl’ of the Sibillini. Filming was done entirely via smartphone in July 2019.
